Earlier this week, Google unveiled its second-generation Pixel 9 Pro Fold, marking its first foray into the Indian folding market.
The device represents a significant upgrade over the previous generation and features a slimmer, more robust design, a brighter display and the latest Tensor G4 chip that boosts the device’s multitasking performance. Meanwhile, Vivo also entered the Indian folding market in June with the X Fold 3 Pro.
The Chinese smartphone maker claims it is the thinnest, lightest and largest foldable display smartphone in the country. Vivo’s latest offering features an in-display fingerprint scanner on both the outside and inside as well as a ZEISS-branded rear camera, putting it in direct competition with Google’s new foldable offering.
