Apparently, the Google Pixel 9 Pro could launch with a free one-year subscription to Gemini Advanced. The Pixel 9 series, which consists of the base model Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, is set to launch on August 13 when the tech giant hosts its annual Made by Google event. Not much is known about the device, but a new report claims that the Pro model could offer the benefits of Gemini’s extended subscription, which includes 2TB of cloud storage.

According to 9to5Google, the details of this offer have been confirmed in the latest beta version of the Google app (version 15.28). “Your Pixel Pro includes a free 1-year subscription to Gemini Advanced, our most powerful AI model, with priority access to new features,” reads a series of in-app codes.
The text is hidden and may not be visible to beta users. This release was available by compiling an Android Application Package (APK).
The tech giant may have integrated this offer into its upcoming Pixel 9 Pro smartphone and it will only be activated when you access Google apps on the specified phone. The report also claims that “Pro” could refer to all three models expected to be announced at the company’s event, including the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The Gemini Advanced subscription was launched by Google in February alongside the launch of the Gemini Pro artificial intelligence (AI) model. It was later replaced by the Gemini 1.5 Pro AI model with a context window of 1 million tokens. It is part of the Google One AI Premium plan. Subscribers can now use Gemini features across all Google apps, including Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
The company also plans to offer subscribers the opportunity to use new trial features before others. Additionally, users get 2TB of cloud storage and other Google One benefits. The Gemini Premium subscription is currently available in India for Rs. Monthly fee: 1950 yen.
