Google has launched its Pixel 8 series of smartphones in India. The series includes two models, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, both running on Android 14 and powered by Google’s Tensor G3 chipset.
Price and offers
The Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 and Rs 82,999 for the 128GB and 256GB variants, respectively. The Pixel 8 Pro is priced at Rs 1,06,999 in India for the lone 128GB storage variant.
Customers purchasing the Pixel 8 series can also avail some offers. As part of the launch offers, Flipkart is offering a discount of up to Rs 8,000 on Pixel 8 purchases made using ICICI, Kotak Mahindra, and Axis Bank cards. Additionally, customers have the opportunity to avail Rs 3,000 discount when they exchange their old phone.
Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro specifications
The Google Pixel 8 features a 6.2-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The Pixel 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with QHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. Both models are IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
Both smartphones run Android 14 and are powered by Google’s Tensor G3 chipset. Both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro feature a temperature sensor, called the thermometer feature, which can be used to measure the temperature of drinks, meals, and more.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro both have a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.31″ image sensor, 1.2μm pixel size, and ƒ/1.68 aperture. The ultrawide camera on the Pixel 8 has a 12MP sensor, while the Pixel 8 Pro has a significantly higher resolution 48MP sensor. The Pixel 8 Pro also has a 5x optical periscope zoom lens and a 48MP sensor.
