Across most markets in the country, gold prices have continued to fall. In markets outside Chennai, the price of 24-carat gold slipped below the 72,000-rupee mark, trading in the range of 71,870 to 71,720 rupees per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold also fell below the 66,000-rupee mark, trading between 65,890 and 65,740 rupees per 10 grams in markets outside Chennai. However, in Chennai, 24-carat gold remained above 72,000 rupees, and 22-carat gold held steady above 66,000 rupees per 10 grams. There was no change in silver prices, with silver continuing to trade at 89,900 rupees per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

Chennai saw the retail price of 24-carat gold at 72,270 rupees per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold priced at 66,240 rupees per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, 24-carat gold was trading at 71,770 rupees per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at 65,790 rupees per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at 71,720 rupees per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold was priced at 65,740 rupees per 10 grams.
