New Delhi : Gold prices hit record highs in India due to a strong global market. 24-carat gold rose above Rs 71,400 in most cities, with Chennai surpassing Rs 72,000 per 10 grams. Silver prices also witnessed an upward trend. Due to this rise, 24 carat gold is trading close to the level of Rs 71,400 per 10 grams in most cities of the country. The price of 24 carat gold has crossed Rs 72,000 per 10 grams in Chennai.
Like 24 carat, 22 carat gold has also reached above the level of Rs 65,300 per 10 grams in most bullion markets. While in Chennai, 22 carat gold has crossed the level of Rs 66,000 per 10 grams. Like gold, silver is also showing a strong trend. Due to this rise, silver is trading at a level of Rs 83,400 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market today.

Similarly, in Kolkata, 24 carat gold has reached the level of Rs 71,280 per 10 grams and 22 carat gold at Rs 65,340 per 10 grams.
In the Lucknow bullion market, 24 carat gold is trading at Rs 71,430 per 10 grams today and 22 carat gold at Rs 65,490 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 24 carat gold in Patna has increased to Rs 71,330 per 10 grams, while 22 carat gold is being sold at Rs 65,390 per 10 grams.
