Madrid, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): Getafe defender Allan Nyom endured one of the shortest and most dramatic appearances in recent La Liga history on Sunday, receiving a red card just 37 seconds after coming onto the pitch for a reckless foul on Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior.

The incident occurred during a tense evening clash in the Madrid suburb. Nyom, who had been substituted in the 75th minute, attempted what seemed like a tactical challenge, but it turned into a brutal clothesline tackle on Vinícius — well away from the ball, nearly 20 meters off play.
Referee José Luis Munuera Montero, standing close to the incident, had no hesitation in showing the red card. The foul took place directly in front of both team benches and was also clearly visible to the fourth official, leaving no room for doubt.
Nyom appeared stunned by the decision, protesting briefly before leaving the field. Ironically, he spent more time standing in disbelief after the red card than he did actually playing. Replays, however, confirmed the referee’s decision was entirely justified.
Real Madrid immediately capitalized on Getafe’s reduced lineup — Kylian Mbappé scored the winning goal just 20 seconds after the restart, sealing a late victory for Los Blancos.
For Getafe, it was a cruel twist. After defending resiliently for 76 minutes in hopes of salvaging a point, they saw their efforts undone in less than a minute.
