Udaipur, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — International Nurses Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and emotion at GBH American Hospital and GBH General and Cancer Hospital on Tuesday, recognising the dedication, patience and humanity of nursing staff serving patients round the clock.

At the event held at GBH American Hospital, senior cardiologist Dr. S.K. Kaushik attended as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he said patients first gain confidence from nurses in a hospital. He added that nurses not only provide medicines but also offer emotional support and hope to patients.
Finance Director Nitin Jain and COO Garvit Bharti also appreciated the services of the nursing staff and said their commitment, even in difficult situations, is truly inspiring.
At GBH General and Cancer Hospital, a message from Chairman Dr. Kirti Kumar Jain was read during the programme. In the message, he said nursing is not just a profession but one of the greatest services to humanity. He stated that understanding a patient’s pain and bringing a smile to their face is the true identity of a nurse.
During the programme, nursing staff members who delivered outstanding services were honoured by senior neurologist Dr. Renu Khamesra, surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Tiwari, Group Director Dr. Anand Jha and Director Dr. Surabhi Porwal.
The celebration also featured colourful cultural performances by nurses, including songs, dances and motivational presentations, creating an emotional and lively atmosphere. The entire event reflected respect, pride and gratitude towards the nursing community.
