New Delhi, June 23: BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh responded to reports of MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction switching sides. He asserted that the true representation of Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideology is currently upheld by the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra’s government. Vallabh emphasized that any Shiv Sainik who believes in Balasaheb’s ideology cannot accept an alliance with Congress.
He further stated that only a few leaders remain with Uddhav Thackeray, and they too are aligned with Congress. Vallabh accused Uddhav of compromising Balasaheb Thackeray’s core ideology and forming political equations with Congress, which Balasaheb fought against throughout his life. He claimed that those currently with Uddhav have publicly stated that he is moving towards merging his faction with Congress. Vallabh expressed that if Balasaheb were watching, he would be deeply saddened as his son is forming political partnerships with those he opposed.
Vallabh asserted that the Shiv Sena in power is the true custodian of Balasaheb Thackeray’s legacy. He noted that those who deviated from Balasaheb’s ideology and aligned with Congress are now politically isolated and out of power.
During his address, Vallabh also criticized the Congress party for its politics surrounding the NEET-UG examination. He condemned the opposition’s actions, stating that the Congress leaders have not even filled out forms for competitive exams in their lives, yet they are attempting to guide students on such matters. He pointed out that passing or failing is no trivial matter, and these leaders are trying to enhance their political image at the expense of students.
He highlighted an incident in Karnataka where Congress’s rally prevented NEET students from reaching their exam centers. Vallabh contrasted this with the Prime Minister’s decision to halt at Delhi Airport to avoid disturbances during the exam. He concluded that the Congress party’s actions reveal their true nature, showing they have no genuine concern for the future and dreams of children.
