According to reports, Apple’s iPhone models 15 and 14 and Samsung’s Galaxy models S24 and S23 were the best-selling smartphones in the premium segment in the first quarter of 2024.
According to IDC, the ultra-premium segment (priced above Rs 65,000) recorded the highest growth (44%) in the Indian smartphone market in the first quarter of 2024. The market itself grew by 11.5% year-on-year (annual) during this period.

OnePlus leads the mid-range segment
On the other hand, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus dominated the mid-range (above Rs 30,000) segment with 38% export share. The brand was followed by its Chinese counterparts Vivo and Oppo.
Exports in this segment fell by 46%, and its market share also decreased from 6% to 3% during the quarter.
