Mahoba, October 19 (Udaipur Kiran): Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district have solved a shocking murder case that took place in the Charkhari police station area. The investigation revealed that the victim’s own friend was behind the crime, driven by business rivalry.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Vandana Singh, the incident occurred on October 14, when police received information about the murder of Rajkumar Ahirwar. Upon investigation, it was found that his associate, Pradeep Rajput, was the one who shot him from behind, leading to his death during treatment.
Police said Pradeep tried to mislead investigators by fabricating a story and presenting the incident as a robbery attempt. He claimed that unidentified assailants chased their motorcycle and shot Rajkumar, while he escaped by hiding in nearby bushes.
Further probe revealed that both Rajkumar and Pradeep ran mobile phone shops in Raipur, Charkhari. On the day of the incident, they were returning to their village after closing their shops. About one kilometre before the village, Pradeep shot Rajkumar dead. Later, Rajkumar’s uncle, Pooranlal, filed a case against unknown persons.
The police have now confirmed that Pradeep committed the murder due to professional rivalry and tried to misdirect the investigation with a false story.
