Udaipur: In a tragic incident, four cousins were crushed to death by a speeding Bolero while they were standing on the roadside in Udaipur. Two of the brothers died on the spot, while the other two succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the hospital.
The four brothers were on their way to Ahmedabad for work. While traveling on a bike, two of them received information that there was heavy rainfall in Ahmedabad, making it difficult to find work there for the next 4-5 days. They stopped in front of a hotel and waited for their other two brothers.
When all four brothers met, they stood on the roadside and started talking. During this time, a speeding Bolero hit them. The incident occurred on National Highway-48, Udaipur-Ahmedabad, near Rishabhdev police station area.
Head Constable Sukhlal said, “Four cousins from Chanawda village near Parsad town were standing near Balaji Hotel around 10:30 pm on Friday. A speeding Bolero hit them. In the accident, Jalim (25), son of Shankar Meena, and Ashok Kumar (20), son of Mangilal, died on the spot, while Vinod (20), son of Laxman Meena, and Raju (22), son of Lalu Meena, were injured.”
