Hardoi (UP) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress accusing them of being soft towards terrorists and said that they can compromise with the security of the country for their personal interests and power.
Addressing an election rally here, Modi said, “Some political parties have been soft towards terrorists for the sake of vote bank. I want to caution the people from such parties as for the sake of personal interest and power they can play and even compromise with the security of the country.”
The PM slammed SP for withdrawing the cases against the terrorists. “A blasts took place in Kashi in 2006, a blasts was also carried out at Sankat Mochan temple and the Cantt railway station was also attacked. In 2013 when SP came to power again they decided to withdraw cases against an accused Shameem Ahmad,” he said. He said, “In 2007 blasts took place in the courts at Lucknow and Ayodhya.
In 2013, the SP government withdrew case against the terrorist named Tariq Kazmi. But even in this case, the court did not allow the conspiracy of the Samajwadi government to succeed and sentenced the terrorist to life imprisonment.” Modi said that the SP government withdrew several cases against the terrorists. “In UP not just one or two the SP government issued order to withdraw 14 cases related to terror attacks against several terrorists. They were carrying on blasts and the SP government was not allowing these terrorists to get prosecuted,” he said.
“The attitude of SP and Congress leaders had been more dangerous. “They call terrorists like Osama as ‘Osamaji’. They cry on the elimination of terrorists in Batla House encounter. Taking up the issue of terrorism, Modi said, “You all know the whenever a terrorists attack took place, when the terrorism increases, the poor and the medium class has to suffer the most. When a terror attack takes place the normal life gets affected, business is affected and tourism comes to stand still.” He said that there was a time when terrorists attack became an order of the day and blasts were taking place in almost all parts of the country.
“Sometimes bombs exploded in Mumbai, some day in Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Ludhiana, Agartala, Imphal. How many cities were hit by bomb blasts during that time and many innocent civilians were killed in those attacks,” he said. The PM said, “When I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, serial blasts took place in Ahmedabad. I can never forget the day. That day I took a vow that my government will find the terrorists from wherever they are and punish them.
You must have seen that the accused of Ahmedabad blasts have been sentenced. The court has punished those who wanted to destroy us. Several terrorists have been punished with capital sentence.” He said, “I was quiet for so many years as the Ahmedabad blast case was being heard. Today when the court has sentenced the terrorists I am raising this issue before the country and I would praise Gujarat police due to whose efforts several modules of terrorists were eliminated.” The PM said that the people of Hardoi and UP have made preparations to celebrate Holi twice. “First Holi will be played on March 10 with the bumper victory of the BJP.
But it you have to celebrate Holi with fervour, then you will have to make preparations at the polling booth from now,” he said. He said that the people themselves have taken the responsibility of the new phases in UP. “Those who due to appeasement politics stopped our festivals will get the reply of the public of UP on March 10. These dynastic politicians, who are losing the elections badly will now spread venom in the name of caste and community. But you have to remember only one thing, which is the development of UP and the development of the country,” he said. Modi said that dynastic politicians, who can struggle within their family itself for the sake of power can never be for a caste and the society.
“The double government which you have blessed in UP is not of any family. The government in Delhi is not that of a family. It is the government of the poor, farmers and youths,” he said. He said, “We have worked very hard for you in five years. But I regret that these dynastic politicians did not support me in a single work. Work for the poor started in UP in 2017 when you made the double engine government here.
During their regime only 34,000 toilets were constructed for the poor, but after Yogi came five lakh toilets were constructed. Where will the money go then?.” Modi said that those who kept the houses of the people in dark and lit only their houses are now making false promises of giving free electricity. “The dynastic politicians are ready not to give you electricity, but to give you electric shocks.
Whose exploits only flourish in the dark, those dynastic politicians can never give light to the state,” he said. He said that during their regime land grabbing became a booming business. “During the rule of ‘mafiavaadi’ land grabbing was a big business. Goons of their leaders used to consider their possession on any one’s land. But the double engine government pulled down their shutters. In UP our government has given more than 23 lakh property cards under ‘Swamitva Yojna’ and this work will continue in future as well,” he said.
