Unidentified armed men abducted five Indians working for Indian infrastructure company in Afghanistan’s Baghlan province.
The incident happened in Bagh-e-Shamal village in Baghla province.
They were abducted while traveling to the area, where the company owns an electricity sub-station contract.
Baghlan provincial council has linked the incident to the Taliban, but no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction so far.
Responding to the reports of abduction, India has said that it is aware of the abduction of Indian nationals from Baghlan province and that the Indian government is in touch with Afghan authorities.
