Farmer Shot Dead While Sleeping in Field

Bareilly, May 1: A shocking incident has emerged from Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh, where a farmer was shot dead while sleeping in his field. The incident took place in the Raipur Hans village of Faridpur. Reports indicate that the farmer had returned from a feast on Thursday night and decided to sleep in the field. During this time, he was shot and killed.

The farmer’s body was discovered in a shed in the field, covered in blood, causing panic among his family members. The news of the murder spread quickly through the village. Upon receiving the information, the local police were alerted, and South SP Anshika Verma along with a forensic team arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder may be personal enmity. The police team is actively investigating the case and searching for the culprits.

South SP Anshika Verma confirmed that they received reports of a shooting involving a person named Indrapal in Raipur Hans village, leading to his death. The police team reached the site promptly, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. A forensic team is also present, collecting necessary evidence. Three teams have been formed to investigate the case from all angles, and a case has been registered at the police station. Efforts are underway to apprehend those involved in the murder as soon as possible.

In a related incident, another murder case surfaced on Thursday from the Jandiala area of Amritsar, where police registered a case involving a son accused of killing his mother. The victim’s mother, Charanjit Kaur, revealed that her daughter, Amanpreet Kaur, was murdered by her own son, Karamveer Singh, who allegedly strangled her to death.

Currently, no arrests have been made in this case, but police are conducting raids to apprehend the main suspect, who is reported to be between 17 and 18 years old. Investigations are also underway to determine if anyone else was involved in the incident.
