Fake Liquor with Counterfeit Holograms Seized in Jaipur; Illegal New Year Party Busted in Udaipur

Jaipur, January 1 (Udaipur Kiran): As part of an ongoing special enforcement drive against illegal liquor trade across Rajasthan, the Excise Department has intensified action against the manufacture, storage, and sale of illicit alcohol. Under the directions of Excise Commissioner Shiv Prasad Nakate, multiple raids were conducted across the state, leading to significant seizures and arrests.

In Jaipur, the excise team seized a large consignment of liquor bearing fake hologram labels from a restaurant-bar and arrested four persons in connection with the case. Acting on specific inputs, officials raided the Retreat Restaurant Bar located at Fortune Heights near Ahimsa Circle, where liquor bearing counterfeit hologram labels of Haryana origin was being illegally stocked and served. During the operation, 10 cartons of liquor were seized, and four accused were taken into custody. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Excise Commissioner (Administration) O.P. Jain and Additional Excise Commissioner (Policy) Pradeep Singh Sangawat, with Deputy Commissioner Gyan Prakash Meena, Assistant Excise Officer Shiv Kumar Chaudhary and team present on the spot.

Meanwhile, in UDAIPUR, a separate action was carried out against an illegal New Year party being organised without a valid licence. Acting on specific information, the excise team conducted a raid at a rooftop café located at Gangaur Ghat near Pichola Lake. During the operation, nine cartons of beer and liquor were seized, and one person, identified as Akash Chaudhary, was arrested.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of District Excise Officer Aadarsh Dahiya and Deputy Commissioner (EPF) Pradyumn Singh Chundawat. Excise Inspector Shambhu Singh Rathore led the team, with support from Home Guards Jamnashankar and Lokesh Gawariya.

Officials stated that strict action is being taken against illegal sale and storage of liquor across the state, especially during the festive season. The Excise Department has reiterated that any establishment found serving liquor without a valid licence will face stringent legal action as per excise laws.
