Dubai-Abu Dhabi Airport Tightens Rules for Indian Tourists: Now Rs 60,000 in Bank Account, Return Ticket Mandatory

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a change in rules for Indian travelers traveling by air. The rules have been further tightened. According to the new rules, tourists going to Dubai-Abu Dhabi will have to have Rs 60,000 in their bank account or a credit card and a return ticket.

Passengers who do not meet both these conditions will be sent back to India from Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports itself. According to reports, 10 Indians have been deported from UAE to India recently due to lack of return tickets.

UAE Immigration says that the new rules can prevent the misuse of tourist visas. In fact, there have been cases where people go to Dubai-Abu Dhabi on tourist visas and start working there. Apart from this, some people do not have the money to return from Dubai-Abu Dhabi, due to which they are deported.

Tourists should have a document showing their bank balance

Tourists traveling to Dubai and Abu Dhabi for tourism should also have a visa, travel-related documents and a document showing their bank balance. Apart from this, hotel reservation documents should also be there.

If the passenger is going to meet a relative, then he will also have to give the relative’s address, phone number and other details.

First-time travelers under strict scrutiny

Tourists traveling to Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the first time from Tamil Nadu and Kerala will be strictly scrutinized. In fact, according to media reports, some passengers from Kottayam and Idukki districts of Kerala were recently deported from the UAE. They did not have the necessary travel documents.

Airlines have been given guidelines related to the new rules. Airlines will now have to verify that young people (aged 20-35) traveling alone, especially young women, follow the new rules.

In addition, if passengers land in the UAE without proper documents, the airline companies will be responsible. The company will be fined.

New rules are causing delays at Indian airports

Checking has intensified at Indian airports to comply with the new rules of UAE Immigration. Due to this, passengers are facing delay in boarding the flight. The most problems are coming at the airports of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Keeping in view the convenience of the people, the check-in time has been increased, so that the flight is not delayed due to checking.

Passengers facing problems

According to media reports, hundreds of passengers who reached the airport with only a visa and air ticket were unable to fly in the past few days. The passengers also gave the immigration officer the visa details, phone numbers and addresses of relatives and friends living in the UAE, but they were not allowed to travel. The passengers whose trips were canceled were not given any refund nor were they allowed to reschedule their trips.
