Udaipur, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): Dr. Pratap Singh formally assumed charge as the new Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

On the occasion, Dr. Singh expressed his commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the Central and State Government’s agricultural policies. He emphasized that under the Viksit Bharat Abhiyan (Developed India Mission), his key focus will be on the economic and educational upliftment of the tribal communities in the region.
Dr. Singh said that with the support of all stakeholders, and by combining traditional knowledge, scientific approach, and innovation, the university will work towards comprehensive development and the resolution of key challenges facing the agricultural sector.
He also called upon the faculty members and staff to play an active and collaborative role in advancing the university’s mission, urging them to work with coordination, commitment, and mutual trust.
Marking the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Dr. Singh paid floral tributes to the statues of Maharana Pratap at the Rajasthan College of Agriculture campus and Swami Vivekananda at the university’s administrative building, encouraging everyone to draw inspiration from their life and teachings.
The ceremony was attended by senior university officials, directors, deans, heads of departments, faculty members, pensioners’ welfare committee members, and employee representatives, who extended their congratulations to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor.
Dr. Singh also conveyed his Diwali greetings to the farmers of Rajasthan and the MPUAT community, expressing his hope for a prosperous and progressive year ahead.
