Raebareli/Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday hit out at the Congress, SP, and BSP and alleged that these parties have betrayed the people and compromised the country’s security by patronising terrorists. Addressing a series of public gatherings in Raebareli and Lucknow, the bastion of Congress, the chief minister stated, “Politics cannot be done at the cost of the nation but SP and some parties are doing politics at the cost of the nation.
The SP should be questioned whether the vote bank is more important than the security of the nation?” The SP owes an explanation to the nation regarding their relations with terrorists, he added. The statement was made in reference to Akhilesh Yadav’s photo with the father of a Ahmedabad serial blast convict.
Yogi Adityanath slammed the Samajwadi Party for being “sympathetic” towards terrorists and said that the previous government headed by it had sought to withdraw cases against several terrorists who attacked Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya, High courts, and CRPF camps. Accusing the SP of indulging in caste-based, religion-based politics, the CM said, “Earlier electricity was provided only on Eid and not on Holi or Diwali.
Now, every house gets electricity, there is no discrimination done in providing electricity to people.” The CM further commented that before 2017 there were riots on a large scale, more than 700 riots took place in the reign of SP and 364 riots happened during BSP’s time. He said that hundreds of people were killed in these riots, curfew was imposed and even if the victim complained then a case was registered against him.
He warned the rioters that if any riots take place then they will have to pay a huge compensation amount for it and even posters will be stuck at the roads. During his address, CM Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress. Referring to former Congress MLA Rakesh Singh, CM Yogi said that earlier he was with the ‘army of Ravan’ but today he is in BJP- the army of Lord Ram. CM Yogi said that in 55 years, Congress only shut down the doors of the Ram temple, while the BJP fulfilled its dream of building Ram Mandir.
“The Congress never wanted the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Today, they call themselves a devotee of Lord Ram.” He appealed to the people of Rae Bareli to recognize the real face of Congress. Taking a jibe at SP, CM Yogi said that their hands are painted with the blood of Ram devotees.
Making a fierce attack on Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, he said that the ‘bhai-behen’ are only ‘opportunists’ as they were missing during the Covid-19 period. Expressing the difficulties faced by over 15,000 children of UP trapped in Kota (Rajasthan) during the Covid-19 period, he said that at that time the UP government sent buses and got the children back safely.
“During the Covid-19 period, when we were working to save lives for the common man, these brothers and sisters gave fake numbers of roadways, fake numbers of scooters in the name of buses.” On Rahul Gandhi, Yogi said that the Congress leader opposed the revocation of Article 370 on Kashmir in Parliament. He also slammed him for opposing the Kashmir policy and said that such ‘namoonas’ should not get a chance in politics.
Listing the development works done by the “double engine” government, the CM said that their government waived the loans of 86 lakh farmers. In Rae Bareli, loans of more than 81,700 farmers were waived, while 3.60 lakh farmers of the district are getting the benefit of PM Kisan Nidhi.
The double engine government provided housing to 50,000 poor people and more than 95,000 old people, 36,000 destitute women and 12,000 divyangjans are getting the benefit of pension. CM Yogi said that Sanskrit is the soul of Indian culture and after the formation of the government, ‘Purohit welfare board’ will be constituted. Along with this, students of Sanskrit will get scholarships.
