Bhopal, March 6 : Madhya Pradesh is witnessing an unexpected cold spell as temperatures drop sharply across the state. For the first time in March, the winter chill has made a comeback, causing significant drops in both day and night temperatures. Cities including Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Jabalpur recorded notable temperature dips, with Bhopal’s minimum temperature plunging to 7.8°C overnight.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cold wave is a result of an active Western Disturbance in North India, which has led to snowfall in the mountains and cold winds sweeping across Madhya Pradesh. These cold conditions are expected to persist for the next two days, with night temperatures potentially dropping by another 2-3 degrees before warming trends resume on March 7.
