The CMF Phone 1 will soon be the first smartphone to hit the market under the Nothing sub-brand. CMF by Nothing has officially announced its name and confirmed the launch of its upcoming phone. It also hints at key design elements for the next smartphone.
CMF is a sub-brand of a UK-based startup led by OnePlus co-founder Carl P. that focuses on innovative design. Previous reports claimed that the CMF Phone 1 could be a version of the Nothing Phone 2a that was announced in March this year, but the design was noticeably different.
CMF Phone 1, coming soon
CMF by Nothing has officially confirmed in a post on X that the CMF Phone 1 will be available “soon”. The post also mentions that the upcoming phone will be introduced as an entry-level smartphone.

CMF Phone 1 design revealed
While no further details about the device have been confirmed, the company has shared an image of the CMF Phone 1 in the post above. In the corner is an orange faux leather panel with a round bezel, similar to the one on the CMF Buds charging case. The screen of the TWS phone case served as a strap holder. It is not yet clear whether the dialer in the phone serves another purpose.
CMF Phone 1 Specifications and Features (Leaked)
The CMF Phone 1 is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with thick bezels. The device is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset and 6GB of RAM. The phone is also likely to support 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It ships with NothingOS 2.6.0, which is not yet generally available.
In terms of optics, the CMF Phone 1 is likely to come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the back along with another 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. The front camera of this phone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel sensor. It is also likely to come with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
