Mumbai, September 5 (Udaipur Kiran) : Actor Chunky Pandey entertained audiences on the set of the dance reality show “India’s Best Dancer” Season 5 by sharing a humorous anecdote from his teenage years. He recalled an adventurous attempt to watch the iconic actress Zeenat Aman’s film “Satyam Shivam Sundaram,” which was released in 1978.
Pandey, who was just 15 at the time, humorously described how he donned a burqa to sneak into a cinema hall, as the film was rated for adults. He recounted, “Zeenat, you know I became a man for the first time because of you, I swear. Your film was an adult movie, and at 15, I tried to enter the cinema several times but was thrown out each time. Finally, I went in wearing a burqa.”
The episode featured Zeenat Aman as a special guest, and Pandey’s story added a nostalgic touch to the conversation. The show’s choreographer and judge, Terence Lewis, also reminisced about Aman’s iconic fashion sense, particularly her memorable yellow sunglasses and effortless style. He remarked, “Zeenat, I can’t forget those yellow sunglasses you wore. It was so simple yet striking.”
Zeenat shared her own memories of shooting “Satyam Shivam Sundaram” in Kathmandu, recalling the vibrant atmosphere on set and the large crowds that gathered during the filming of songs. The film, directed by Raj Kapoor, featured Aman in the lead role of Roopa, a village woman whose beauty and appearance were central to the film’s themes of love and societal perspectives. The title track, “Satyam Shivam Sundaram,” remains one of the most famous songs in Hindi cinema.
The episode promises to be a delightful blend of nostalgia and entertainment for viewers.
