Udaipur : A tragic car accident occurred on Monday night in Kherwara, Udaipur district. In Lakoda village, a car lost control and fell into a drain, resulting in the death of 3 out of the 5 passengers. Two youths managed to escape by breaking the car window.

The incident happened at around 10:30 pm. Upon receiving information, the Civil Defence Department and SDRF team reached the spot. The SDRF team from Udaipur city started the rescue operation late at around 12:30 am. After about an hour of effort, two bodies and the car were recovered, while one youth’s body could not be found for a long time.
According to Kherwara police station ASI Digvijay Singh, the deceased have been identified as Naresh Meena, resident of Mahudiya Bawlawada, Dhruv Patel, resident of Lakoda, and Lav Patel, resident of Baydi. Meanwhile, Praveen Meena, resident of Mahudiya, and Laxman Meena, resident of Sagwada, survived by breaking the car window.
As per the information, Dhruv and Lav Patel were travelling from Kherwara to Baydi village for some work. On the way, Naresh, Praveen, and Laxman asked for a lift and boarded the car. In Lakoda village, due to the slope and U-turn, the strong current and depth could not be estimated, and the car lost control and fell into the drain.
