Patna, May 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is heading towards a decisive victory in West Bengal, generating excitement among its leaders and workers. BJP MLA Maithili Thakur congratulated the party on its success.
Speaking to reporters, Thakur stated, “The BJP has received immense love in West Bengal. The people have shown trust in the party. During our campaign, it was clear that the people wanted change. This is a significant and historic victory. It is crucial to understand the decision made by the people of Bengal. Many factors have influenced their choice. They must have thought about their future generations. The people did not want a government characterized by lawlessness and looting; they desired a government of good governance, which is why they trusted our party. As a worker, I express my gratitude to them.”
Thakur added, “Whatever decisions our supreme leaders make, the workers align with that vision. We listen attentively when PM Modi and Amit Shah speak. The major decisions of the party will be taken by senior leaders, and we stand by them.”
Commenting on a video of PM Modi enjoying ‘Jhalmuri’ during the campaign, she said, “I have observed PM Modi’s demeanor. During an award show, I interacted with him and realized how approachable he is. He possesses excellent leadership qualities, and his ease makes people want to connect with him.”
Thakur also highlighted the victory in Bengal as a significant achievement following Nitin Naveen’s appointment as party president, stating, “The party follows rules. Seniors give us great respect. Our national president is from Bihar and is very approachable. No matter how much one achieves, there is discipline within the party.”
She congratulated the party workers for their hard work, which led to the BJP’s overwhelming victory in Assam, expressing pride in their efforts.
