Mumbai, June 7: The political rhetoric surrounding the upcoming meeting of the India Alliance has intensified across the country. BJP leaders have criticized the alliance, claiming it is merely a coalition of selfish individuals.
West Bengal BJP President Samik Bhattacharya commented on Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Delhi, stating, “We have no concern about where any leader goes. If someone goes to Delhi, Antarctica, or even Mars, what does it matter to us? They could just as easily go to Ludhiana or Amritsar.”
He emphasized that the BJP’s focus is on the development of West Bengal, highlighting that both the state and central governments aim to attract investment, improve the economic situation, and enhance the education system. “We have no interest in the internal politics of the TMC,” he added.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya attacked the India Alliance, asserting that the future of this coalition, which includes Congress, SP, and TMC, is bleak. He claimed that the alliance is not working for public interest but rather for its political gains. “No matter how many meetings the India Alliance holds, their defeat is certain. They only unite to oppose PM Modi and the BJP. They should wait until 2047,” Maurya stated, suggesting that the opposition should go into ‘vanvas’ until the country develops, as it includes individuals linked to crime and corruption.
Bihar’s former minister and current MLA, Mangal Pandey, also criticized the India Alliance, stating that it has never been stable or united and is merely a group of self-serving politicians. He asserted that the alliance was formed not for national interest or development but for family-based politics, claiming this is why many parties are distancing themselves from it.
