Patna, February 16: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to commence the 10th-grade (Matric) examinations starting Tuesday. The board has made comprehensive preparations to ensure a fair examination process.
According to BSEB, over 1.51 million candidates have registered for this year’s exams, with 785,000 being female candidates and 726,000 male candidates, marking a higher number of female candidates than males. A total of 1,699 examination centers have been established across the state.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift will run from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, and the second shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Candidates are required to enter the examination centers by 9:00 AM for the first shift.
BSEB has installed CCTV cameras at all examination centers, and live monitoring will be conducted in several districts. A control room will oversee the entire examination process, enabling immediate action in case of any irregularities or complaints. Candidates are strictly prohibited from entering the examination hall with electronic watches, smartwatches, or magnetic watches.
At the time of entry, candidates will be checked to ensure they possess only valid admission cards, pens, pencils, and instrument boxes. Two levels of security checks will be conducted for all candidates. Strict actions have been directed against anyone attempting to disrupt the examination process.
Magistrates and police forces will be deployed at all examination centers to maintain a calm and transparent environment. Each district will have four ‘model centers’ exclusively for female candidates, with all personnel assigned to these centers being women.
