The incident occurred on Tuesday evening (August 4) at his residence in Nehru Vihar when the service revolver accidentally discharged while he was putting on his uniform for naka duty. The bullet struck his temple and passed through his head.
Following the incident, he was rushed to hospitals in Bhilwara before being shifted to Geetanjali Hospital in Udaipur, around 157 kilometres away, through a specially created green corridor.
