Udaipur, June 14: The formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Uttar Pradesh government to probe the donation issues related to the Ayodhya Ram Temple has been welcomed by the saint community and various religious leaders. Arya Saint Varun Das Maharaj stated that the ongoing reports and various pieces of information regarding the donations had created confusion among the Hindu community, making a swift resolution essential.
He remarked that the government’s decision to form an SIT is a positive step. The Ram Temple is not just a religious site but a symbol of Hindu tradition and culture. Therefore, an impartial investigation into any related matters is crucial for the faith of millions of Hindus worldwide.
Mahatma Deveshacharya Ji Maharaj from Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi also congratulated the Uttar Pradesh government for taking cognizance of the matter and forming the SIT, describing it as commendable. He emphasized that news propagated by certain anti-social elements should also be investigated to unveil the complete truth.
Mahatma Sitaram Das Ji Maharaj noted that the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had requested the formation of the SIT from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the government, which has now been accepted. He insisted that the investigation process must be entirely transparent and fair, ensuring that the sentiments of any individual, especially followers of Sanatan Dharma, are not hurt.
Iqbal Ansari, a former plaintiff in the Babri Masjid case, also deemed the SIT formation a correct step. He mentioned that the matter related to Ayodhya and Lord Ram has become a topic of discussion not only in the country but worldwide. The truth regarding the alleged discrepancies in donations will now come to light through the investigation, and he expressed confidence that the SIT’s inquiry would clarify all facts.
Mahatma Aniruddh Dev Das Ji Maharaj from Janaki Raman Kunj praised the government’s swift action in forming the SIT, stating that the allegations of fraud concerning such a sacred pilgrimage site had hurt the sentiments of the Hindu populace. He believes that the SIT’s investigation will reveal the truth to everyone.
