Avenue Supermarts tumbles despite reporting 24% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5899.90 on 18-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2610.80 on 29-Jan-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4799.00 and Rs. 4632.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 301069.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.18% and 8.83% respectively.

Avenue Supermarts has reported a rise of 24.57% in its net profit at Rs 585.79 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 470.25 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 21.59% at Rs 9,097.33 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 7,481.89 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 23.62% in its net profit at Rs 552.53 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 446.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 21.83% at Rs 9,243.72 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 7,587.32 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
