Astra Microwave Products Gains After JV Wins ₹285.56 Crore Defence Order

New Delhi, November 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Astra Microwave Products Ltd. (AMPL) gained over 1.5% on Monday after its joint venture company, Astra Rafael Comsys, received an order worth ₹285.56 crore (including taxes) from the Ministry of Defence.

The stock was trading at ₹1,059.90, up ₹17.00 or 1.63% from its previous close of ₹1,042.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at ₹1,079.60 and touched an intraday high of ₹1,079.60 and a low of ₹1,044.55, with 13,200 shares traded so far. The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹10,085.06 crore.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of ₹2, has registered a 52-week high of ₹1,195.65 (on June 5, 2025) and a 52-week low of ₹584.20 (on March 3, 2025). Over the past week, the stock traded between ₹1,089.25 and ₹1,035.00. The promoters hold 6.54%, while institutional investors and non-institutional investors hold 21.02% and 72.45%, respectively.

The company announced that its JV, Astra Rafael Comsys, has bagged the ₹285.56 crore order from the Ministry of Defence for the procurement of advanced communication systems and related accessories for the Special Forces of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The project is scheduled to be executed within 11 months, reinforcing the company’s growing role in India’s defense technology ecosystem.
