Rajouri, 09 September (Udaipur Kiran) – The Indian Army successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. Army personnel intercepted the infiltrators and killed two terrorists. The soldiers recovered two AK-47 rifles, a pistol, and a large cache of weapons from the terrorists.
The White Knight Corps of the Army, based in Jammu, stated on ‘X’ that the anti-infiltration operation was launched in the Lam sector on the night of 8th and 9th September. This action was based on intelligence inputs from agencies and the police regarding a possible infiltration attempt. During the operation, two terrorists were neutralized. So far, two AK-47 rifles, a pistol, and other weapons have been recovered from the scene.
Military officials confirmed that after the encounter, the area was kept under surveillance throughout the night using floodlights. At dawn, the operation resumed to ensure the area was secured.
