Apple Launches Redesigned iPad Mini with OLED Display and A20 Pro Chip
Apple has unveiled a redesigned iPad Mini featuring an OLED display, A20 Pro chip, and improved durability, with pre-orders starting October 28.

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA, Oct 27: Apple has introduced a redesigned iPad Mini, featuring an 8.5-inch OLED display and a new A20 Pro chip. This upgrade improves performance, display quality, and durability.
The iPad Mini’s OLED display offers over double the brightness of its predecessor, reaching up to 1,200 nits. It maintains a sleek profile at just 5.4mm thick while expanding the screen size from 8.3 inches. The device has achieved an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, a feature previously lacking in Apple’s smaller tablets.
The 128GB and 256GB versions feature a 5-core CPU, while the 512GB model has a 6-core CPU, enhancing processing capabilities. “The new iPad mini is a huge leap forward for users who love having the full iPad experience in the palm of their hand,” said Dave Pakula, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering.
Apple has also introduced an innovative Acoustic Display, which combines woofers and tweeters within the device’s structure, delivering enhanced audio performance. The front-facing camera has been repositioned to the edge to optimize video calls.
The starting price for the new iPad Mini is $699 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model, up from $499 for the previous model. The device is available in Midnight and Starlight colors, with pre-orders commencing on October 28 and general availability starting November 6. These features aim to solidify Apple’s hold on the compact tablet market as Android manufacturers struggle to compete.
