Android 17 Update: Eligible Poco Devices Listed

New Delhi, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — Android 17, internally codenamed “Cinnamon Bun,” has entered its early testing phase, and Poco users can now check whether their devices are eligible for the upcoming update.

This year, Google has replaced the traditional Developer Preview program with a new “Canary” channel aimed at streamlining development. The stable version of Android 17 is expected to begin rolling out to Pixel devices around June 2026. Poco devices are likely to receive the update later, bundled with the company’s custom interface, expected to be HyperOS 3 or the upcoming HyperOS 4.

Key Features of Android 17

Android 17 introduces a strong focus on large-screen adaptivity. For the first time, apps must be resizable, eliminating black “letterbox” bars on tablets and foldables. This change is expected to improve the full-screen experience, especially on Poco tablets.

The update also expands the Material 3 Expressive design language, bringing more translucent blur effects across the interface, including volume sliders and power menus.

Performance improvements include a new “lock-free MessageQueue” system designed to reduce dropped frames and deliver smoother animations. Enhanced privacy controls will provide users with clearer visibility into how apps access sensitive information.
