Amaravati, June 22: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged officials on Monday to remain vigilant against the conspiracies of certain political parties in the state. He accused some parties of attempting to politicize every issue by coloring events with caste or religious sentiments and turning them into controversies.
During a meeting held at the Real Time Government Society (RTGS) center in the state secretariat to review the functioning of various departments, Naidu stated that these parties are trying to tarnish the image of employees and officials through false propaganda and malicious campaigns against the government.
He emphasized that employees and officials should actively work to prevent the spread of false propaganda and hate-driven incidents. Naidu pointed out that recent crimes were linked to mental health issues, while others were associated with drug and cannabis addiction.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the government is resolving old cases, stating, “Crimes that occurred in 2019 are now being investigated, and criminals are being apprehended and punished. It is essential to communicate these facts to the public. Wrongdoers cannot escape justice.”
Naidu called for strict adherence to vehicle number plate regulations, emphasizing that they should be installed according to set standards. He also highlighted the need to establish a Quantum Park and a Semiconductor Park, mentioning that a quantum computer is set to be launched in December.
He stressed the importance of enhancing greenery, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring water security, recharging groundwater, conserving water resources, and protecting river water from pollution.
The Chief Minister directed officials to address public grievances, including those under the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS), with a human approach. He underscored the importance of developing soft skills among employees and officials.
Naidu stated, “We will encourage employees to think innovatively and assign responsibilities based on performance. They should focus on resolving complaints by putting themselves in the complainants’ shoes. Officials and employees must treat citizens coming to them for solutions with humility, as this fosters a positive perception of the administration among the public.”
He emphasized the effective utilization of human resources, stating that employees need to continuously enhance their administrative capabilities and adapt their work methods to changing times. Decisions that reflect ground realities can only be made through field visits, which ministers, officials, and employees should prioritize.
Naidu asserted that Andhra Pradesh requires a robust human resource system, mentioning that training has been provided to employees and officials regarding administrative reforms. He noted that handling files used to be a significant task, but technology has made it much easier. “Without new thinking, the system will stagnate and become ineffective,” he added.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, and senior officials from various departments.
