Amitabh Bachchan shared a humorous childhood memory of Diwali during an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati featuring the cast of the upcoming film Ramayana. The episode included stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravi Dubey.

In a promotional video, the cast made a grand entry, welcomed by dancers chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’. When Ranbir Kapoor asked Amitabh about his Diwali memories, the veteran actor recalled, “If a firecracker goes off at a neighbor’s place, ours has to be even louder.” This playful remark prompted laughter from Ranbir, Ravi, and Sai.

Ranbir, who plays Lord Rama, discussed the significant responsibility of portraying such an iconic character. He stated, “This is not a role. It’s a responsibility.” He emphasized the importance of embodying the forgiving nature of Lord Rama, noting that his character’s strength lies in his ability to forgive.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is set to be a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Hindu epic. Alongside Ranbir as Lord Rama, the film features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The first part is slated for release on November 5, with a sequel planned for Diwali 2027.
