New Delhi, July 26: Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stating that the nation, its citizens, and the youth are of utmost importance to the government. He emphasized that for BJP workers, the country and its younger generation hold greater significance than any position. Pradhan’s resignation reflects this sentiment, according to Shah.

Shah commended Pradhan’s efforts to make the examination system more inclusive and student-centered, showcasing his dedication to transforming India into a developed nation.
Pradhan resigned amid protests by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar, stating that serving the nation is his highest priority. In a post on social media platform X, he expressed his commitment to education reform over the past four decades, emphasizing that a strong, inclusive, and visionary education system is the foundation of a powerful nation.
He acknowledged the aspirations and rightful expectations of India’s youth, stating that fulfilling their dreams has been a moral commitment in political and social life. Pradhan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the opportunity to serve the nation under his visionary leadership. Following irregularities in the NEET UG examination held on May 3, the government promptly took action, assigning the investigation to the CBI, canceling the exam, and announcing a new date. He assured that the primary focus remained on conducting the examination smoothly for over 2 million students, with significant collaboration between the central and state governments, particularly the district administration.
