Air pollution level in National Capital continues to remain very poor

The air quality index was recorded at 334 on Saturday.

All construction activities involving excavation have been stopped.

Civil construction has also been suspended in Delhi and other NCR districts.

All stone crushers and hot mix plants generating dust pollution have been closed.According to officials, Air Quality of Delhi is expected to remain in very poor category till Monday.

An aggressive ten day long Clean Air Campaign of the Environment Ministry began on the first of this month  to monitor and report polluting activities and to ensure quick action.

Government has deployed 52 teams which will are visiting different parts of Delhi and adjacent towns of Faridabad, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Noida.

Central Pollution Control Board has opened social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook and has asked people to lodge complaints on air pollution incidents in Delhi and adjoining areas.
