Ranchi, April 15: A significant opportunity has emerged for medical professionals seeking to work at one of the country’s most prestigious institutions, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). AIIMS Deoghar has officially announced vacancies for 142 Senior Resident (non-academic) positions.
The recruitment includes 26 positions in Anesthesiology and Critical Care, along with various other specialties such as Anatomy, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Community and Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pharmacology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiotherapy, and Urology, with 2 positions each. Additionally, there are 3 positions each for Burn and Plastic Surgery, Forensic Medicine, Neonatology, Pediatric Surgery, and Blood Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank, and 1 position each for Cardiology, Endocrinology, Microbiology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology/Lab Medicine, and Surgical Oncology. There are also 5 positions for Pulmonary Medicine, 6 for Radiodiagnosis, 8 each for Biochemistry and Pediatrics, 10 for Obstetrics and Gynecology, 14 for General Medicine, and 15 for General Surgery.
The application process has commenced, allowing candidates to apply both offline and via email, with the deadline set for April 25. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to submit their registration forms within the stipulated timeframe.
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) from a recognized university/institution. Additionally, candidates are required to meet other specified eligibility criteria, skills, and experience. The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 45 years, calculated as of the interview date, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
Selection will be based on a written examination/interview and document verification, with selected candidates receiving a monthly salary of ₹67,700, along with other benefits and allowances.
When applying, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee according to their category, which is ₹3,000 for Unreserved (UR), ₹1,000 for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), while Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/PWD and female candidates will receive a fee concession.
To apply, candidates should visit the official AIIMS Deoghar website. After navigating to the homepage, they should click on the official notification link for the relevant position. Following this, they can download the application form provided in the notification, fill it out, and attach all required documents. The completed registration form should be sent in an envelope to the Registrar Office, 4th Floor, AIIMS, Devipur (Academic Block), Deoghar-814152 (Jharkhand) by the deadline. It is advisable to keep a printed copy of the application form for future reference.
After submitting the application, candidates must also send a soft copy of the application and all necessary documents in a single file to the official email ID mentioned in the notification. The date for the written examination/interview will be announced shortly by the institution.
