Hyderabad : In a significant relief to South Indian superstar Allu Arjun, the Nampally Court on Friday granted him regular bail in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The court granted bail on a bond of Rs 50,000 each with two sureties. Additionally, Allu Arjun has been instructed to report to the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday. Earlier, he was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court.

The hearing on Arjun’s regular bail plea took place on December 30, but the court had reserved its judgment. Today, amidst tight security arrangements near the court, the verdict was finally delivered, bringing relief to the actor and his legal team.
The Incident: Sandhya Theatre Stampede
The case pertains to a tragic incident that occurred on December 4 during the premiere of ‘Pushpa-2’ at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where a stampede broke out, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her family members. The injured continue to undergo treatment.
On December 13, Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the incident, and the lower court sent him to 14-day judicial custody. However, the actor was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on the same day, pending further proceedings.
‘Pushpa-2’ Sets Box Office Records
Despite the legal troubles, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa-2′ continues to dominate the global box office. The film has now become India’s second-highest-grossing film, surpassing Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali’.
