The Samsung Galaxy M05 was launched in India on Thursday. The latest entry-level smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It supports Samsung’s RAM Plus feature and has two years of certified firmware updates. The Galaxy M05 was launched as the successor to last year’s Galaxy M04. The device features a dual rear camera setup surrounding a 50MP main camera and packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.

The Galaxy M05 Dual SIM (Nano) features a 6.74-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) PLS LCD display. This phone uses an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded by up to 1 TB via the microSD card slot. Samsung’s RAM Plus feature lets you virtually expand your available storage up to 8GB.

The Samsung Galaxy M05 has a dual rear camera unit consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video chats, there is an 8-megapixel front camera with an aperture of 2.0. It has been confirmed that there will be two years of operating system upgrades and four years of security updates.

Connectivity options on Galaxy M05 include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The integrated sensors include accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor. Additionally, it supports face unlock feature for authentication.

Samsung has installed a 5,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy M05 with support for 25 W fast charging. It measures 168.8 x 78.2 x 8.8 mm and weighs 195 grams.
