Srinagar : Police on Friday foiled a rifle snatching bid when two militants tried to approach towards Station Grid Wanpoh area of Kulgam district. However, the alert sentry fired some gunshots in air and meantime militants escaped from the spot. SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh Mehta confirmed the incident and said that alert sentry fired some gunshots in air after militants had come with intention to snatch rifle. Meanwhile, whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
