Realme will unveil its latest innovations in charging technology on August 14 at the annual 828 Fan Fest in Shenzhen, China. Ahead of the official launch, the company introduced this feature in a video posted on social media. It was also teased by Realme Vice President Chase Xu. This is based on an alleged leaked video that shows an unspecified Realme smartphone charging from 0 to 17 percent in just 35 seconds.

In a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Realme announced its upcoming proprietary charging technology called “SuperSonic”. This teaser video showcases its 320W capabilities by quickly charging unspecified smartphones with what it calls Super Fast Charging.

Previous reports suggested that the upcoming charging solution could charge a phone’s battery from zero to 50 percent in less than three minutes and from zero to 100 percent in just five minutes. In another example, a teaser shared by Chase Xu shows that the battery can be charged up to 20% in 41 seconds.

In February 2023, Redmi introduced its 300W charging technology, which can charge the 4100mAh battery of the modified Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition in less than 5 minutes. However, this technology has not been made available to the public. The development of the “SuperSonic” store was first confirmed by Francis Wang, Global Marketing Director and CEO of Realme Europe, in an interview on YouTube channel The Tech Chap in June this year.

According to Realme, it will also introduce four unique innovations that contributed to the development of the latest fast charging technology: charging power, battery technology, converter size and energy-saving design. The company has introduced several fast charging innovations in the past, such as the 240W charging speed for the Realme GT Neo 5 unveiled in China.

The “SuperSonic” charging feature is set to launch alongside the Realme GT 7 Pro, one of the world’s first phones to support Qualcomm’s upcoming 4th-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset.
