Jaipur, 21 November (Udaipur Kiran): The impact of icy winds from northern India has begun to weaken in Rajasthan, bringing slight relief from the biting cold experienced over the past few days. On Thursday, minimum temperatures increased marginally in several areas including Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu and Mount Abu. The hill station saw temperatures remain above freezing point, offering some respite from the chill.

According to a detailed report issued by the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the weather in Rajasthan will remain dry for the next two weeks. Clear skies are expected and daytime sunlight will feel stronger than usual. The department stated that day temperatures are likely to stay near normal levels till 4 December, while night temperatures may remain 2–3 degrees below normal. This means mornings and nights will continue to be cold, but the daytime weather will be pleasant.
On Thursday, several districts recorded a rise in minimum temperature. Mount Abu reported 1°C, Nagaur 6.2°C, Fatehpur 6.1°C, Sikar 7.5°C and Alwar 9.5°C. Jaipur recorded 12.3°C, while Ajmer stood at 10.8°C. In western Rajasthan, Barmer and Jaisalmer saw minimum temperatures reach up to 13.8°C.
There were also fluctuations in maximum temperatures. Chittorgarh, Kota, Alwar and Jalore recorded an increase of around 1 degree, whereas parts of the Shekhawati region saw a slight dip in daytime temperatures. Barmer was the hottest in the state with a maximum of 32.5°C, followed by Jaisalmer and Bikaner at 31.2°C. On the other hand, Sirohi remained the coldest during the day with a maximum of just 23.6°C.
