Oppo has launched the latest version of its camera-focused Reno series called Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. The two smartphones come with a triple camera, an OLED display and a host of AI features and are priced starting at Rs 32,999.
Price for Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro
The Oppo Reno 12 is priced at Rs 32,999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant. On the other hand, the Reno 12 Pro costs 36,999 yen for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant and 40,999 yen for the 12GB RAM/512GB storage variant.
The Reno 12 will be available from July 25th and the Reno 12 Pro from July 18th. The two smartphones are available on Flipkart, Oppo’s online store and retail stores.
Specifications of Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro
The Oppo Reno 12 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. The Reno 12 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Reno 12 Pro has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Both Reno 12 and 12 Pro models are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor based on a 4nm process and a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The Reno 12 Pro supports up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of USF 3.1 internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. The Reno 12, on the other hand, is limited to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The Reno 12 series runs on the latest Android 14 operating system with ColorOS 14.1. Oppo promises three years of operating system updates and four years of security patches for these devices.
On the camera front, the Reno 12 features a triple camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT 600 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. There’s a 32-megapixel GC32E2 camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
The Reno 12 Pro also has the same primary Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, but instead of its smaller brother’s 2-megapixel macro camera, the 12 Pro has a Samsung 50-megapixel sensor 2- fold optical zoom. JN5 telephoto lens.
On the front there is a 20x digital zoom and a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera. Both phones can shoot up to 4K at 30 frames per second with the rear camera and selfie camera.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Reno 12 series features an under-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and is IP65 certified which means the device is protected against dust and surface also resist water. However, it doesn’t fully immerse.
