Light rain was recorded in parts of Udaipur and Pratapgarh on Monday. In contrast, Jaipur, Tonk, Bhilwara, Ajmer, and several other districts have already bid farewell to the monsoon. Weather experts say the remaining parts of the state are also likely to see the complete withdrawal of monsoon by the end of this week.

According to Radhe Shyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the monsoon has already retreated from most parts of western Rajasthan. Dry weather is expected to prevail over the next 5–6 days. In eastern Rajasthan, including parts of Udaipur and Kota divisions, light to moderate rainfall with thunder may continue for the next 3–4 days, while Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions are likely to remain mainly dry.

In the past 24 hours, Udaipur’s Gogunda recorded the highest rainfall at 15 mm, followed by 6 mm in Dalot (Pratapgarh) and 1 mm in Jhadol (Udaipur). Late Monday night, light drizzle was also reported in some areas of Dungarpur and Banswara. From September 25 onwards, weather conditions across the state are expected to remain dry, with a rise in daytime temperatures.

In Jaipur, the maximum temperature reached 37°C on Monday. Western Rajasthan reported even higher readings, with Jaisalmer at 37.8°C, Phalodi at 37.2°C, Bikaner at 37°C, and Barmer at 37.4°C. Among other cities, Churu recorded 38.7°C, Ganganagar 39.7°C, Fatehpur 37.3°C, Tonk’s Vanasthali and Alwar 36.8°C each, while Udaipur remained relatively cooler at 32.5°C. Most cities reported maximum temperatures 2°C above normal due to reduced humidity and clear skies.
