Massive Fire Engulfs Tent House Warehouse in Jaipur

Jaipur, May 29 (Udaipur Kiran) : Panic gripped the Vishwakarma police station area on Wednesday morning when a massive fire broke out in a tent house warehouse. Upon receiving the information, 18 fire engines along with the police rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after a hard struggle of about five hours. Preliminary police investigation revealed that the fire engulfed crores of rupees worth of goods kept in the warehouse and also caused damage to a crockery warehouse located nearby. At first glance, it appears that the fire was caused by the heatwave.

Chief Fire Officer Gautam Lal said that Jitendra Garg’s Janata Tent House warehouse is located on Road Number 9 in the Vishwakarma police station area. On Wednesday morning, smoke suddenly started rising from inside the closed warehouse and people were shocked to see flames coming out of the warehouse. On the information of the people, the police reached the spot and got the electricity supply cut off and informed the fire brigade.

The Chief Fire Officer said that the fire was so fierce that it also engulfed the crockery warehouse near the tent warehouse. On the other hand, the flames kept rising due to the presence of a lot of tent material in the warehouse. After that, the fire engines started controlling the fire in the warehouse by continuously spraying water. With the help of 18 fire engines, the police brought the fire under control in a few hours. The fire turned all the goods kept in the warehouse into junk. The owner of Janata Tent House, Jitendra Garg, a resident of Vishwakarma, has said that he will assess the damage later.
