Mahindra marked the festive season in spectacular fashion, showcasing the party mode feature of its electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, through a mesmerizing Christmas light show. At the Mahindra SUV Proving Track (MSPT) in Chennai, 23 of these electric vehicles were arranged in the shape of a Christmas tree, delivering a synchronized display of lights and music. This electrifying celebration of innovation and joy was shared via Mahindra’s social media platforms, creating a buzz as the SUVs undergo test drives across India ahead of their January 2025 launch.

Electrifying Party Mode

The video highlights how the BE 6 and XEV 9e leverage their LED headlights, DRLs, taillights, and rear connected light band to create a dynamic light show synchronized with festive music, including a rendition of Jingle Bells. Unique to these EVs, the illuminated sunroof and ambient interior lighting add a stunning dimension to the spectacle. Inspired by Tesla’s light-show feature, Mahindra’s version integrates its Groove Me technology to choreograph every element seamlessly.

This cutting-edge feature underscores Mahindra’s ambition to blend technology with joy, offering a premium experience for EV enthusiasts.

Launch Timeline and Pricing

Introduced in November, the BE 6 and XEV 9e are Mahindra’s debut models under its electric-only sub-brands, Born Electric (BE) and XEV. Priced at ₹18.90 lakh and ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), respectively, these SUVs are set to rival models like the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5, MG ZS EV, and BYD Atto 3.

Both models will make a prominent appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled for January 17 in Delhi, where Mahindra plans to reveal their full pricing. Deliveries are expected to commence in February.

The BE 6 and XEV 9e are built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, a state-of-the-art architecture designed exclusively for its new-generation EVs. Key specifications include:
