Infinix has officially launched the GT 50 Pro in India on October 27, targeting mobile gamers with its advanced specifications and features. The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset and a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Pre-bookings for the device opened earlier this week through Flipkart and Infinix’s official website, where customers can reserve the phone for Rs 1,999 until October 26. A complimentary Infinix X60 Bluetooth speaker is offered with pre-orders, subject to terms and conditions.

Specifications and Features

The GT 50 Pro includes a substantial 6,500mAh battery, an increase from its predecessor, the GT 30 Pro. It supports 45W wired and 30W wireless charging, alongside reverse charging capabilities. The phone also features a HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System designed to manage heat during intensive gaming sessions.

In terms of camera capabilities, the device has a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 13MP front camera. This specification represents a downgrade in megapixels compared to the 108MP camera found in the GT 30 Pro, which raises questions about the overall image quality the new model can deliver.

The design of the GT 50 Pro incorporates visible liquid cooling channels, known as the Explicit Viewport Design, and is available in Black Abyss and Red Blaze color options. The overall dimensions are 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15 mm, with a weight of 198 grams.

Pricing and Competition

The pricing for the GT 50 Pro is anticipated to be between Rs 30,000 and Rs 45,000, based on various reports, though the official price has yet to be disclosed. The global model launched earlier this year was priced around Rs 35,000 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. If priced closer to Rs 45,000, it may struggle against competitors like the POCO X8 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 6, which offer similar performance and features.

Infinix continues to emphasize enhancing the gaming experience with the GT 50 Pro by integrating mechanical shoulder buttons for more precise controls and optimizing the device’s performance through various software features. The launch is part of the company’s broader focus on the mobile gaming segment.
