According to the Meteorological Department, this kind of chill is usually felt in the second half of October, but this year, temperatures have started falling much earlier.

As per data released on Saturday, over 15 cities in Rajasthan recorded night temperatures below 20°C in the last 24 hours. Sikar remained the coldest, with a minimum temperature of 15.5°C. Despite the drop in night temperatures, daytime warmth persisted due to clear skies and sunlight. The highest temperature was 35.5°C in Jaisalmer, followed by 35.4°C in Barmer.

Other cities recorded maximum temperatures as follows: Jalore 33.5°C, Sri Ganganagar 32.5°C, Bikaner 32.4°C, Phalodi 32.8°C, Jodhpur 32.7°C, Chittorgarh 32.3°C, Kota 30.9°C, Jaipur 31°C, and Nagaur and Bhilwara 31.5°C.

The department has predicted that similar weather conditions will continue for the next two days, while a gradual rise of 2–3°C is expected next week. Mild cold winds in the mornings and evenings are likely to persist, giving residents an early feel of winter this October.
