BSNL Launches New 395 Day Plans Across India: Check Prices, Benefits & More

India’s leading telecom company BSNL is gearing up to launch 4G services across the country and it has garnered a lot of attention on social media. This development followed the review of private sector tariffs in early July 2024. One of the standout offers from BSNL is its recharge plan with an extended validity period of 395 days.

Plan details for Rs 2,399

The new plan costs Rs 2,399, but the monthly cost will be around Rs 200. Subscribers enjoy 2GB high-speed data per day, 100 free SMS per day and unlimited voice calls on all national networks. Additionally, this plan includes free nationwide roaming and offers various value-added services like Zing Music, BSNL Tunes, Hardy Games, Challenger Arena Games, Gameon Astrotell, etc.

The impact of price increases by private operators

Meanwhile, private telecom giants such as Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone have recently increased prices on several plans, which will impact credit and postpaid users and potentially affect millions of subscribers. Despite these price increases, these companies continue to offer monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.

Airtel’s revised plan

Airtel has adjusted the prices of various popular plans to maintain a balance between reasonable price and comprehensive service. Key changes include the 28-day plan with 1GB per day. The price will go up from Rs 265 to Rs 299. The 28-day plan with 1.5GB per day has been increased from Rs 299 to Rs 349. The 28-day 2GB/day plan used to cost 359 yen and is now 409 yen. The 1.5GB daily plan for 84 days costs between Rs 859 and Rs 719 and the 2GB daily plan for 84 days costs between Rs 839 and 979. Additionally, the 365-day 2.5GB/day plan is now available at Rs 3,599 (was Rs 2,999).

Changes in Reliance Jio’s plans

Reliance Jio has also changed its prices, affecting several popular plans. The company’s two prepaid annual plans, previously priced at Rs 1,559 and Rs 2,999, will now be available at Rs 1,899 and Rs 3,599 respectively. Other notable changes include the price hike for the 2GB 28-day plan from Rs 299 to Rs 349 and the 1.5GB 28-day plan per day from Rs 239 to Rs 399. The 28-day plan with 3GB per day remains at Rs 449.
