BJP hits back at Congress over surgical strike

Proof of the surgical strike that the Indian army carried out 2 years ago in response to the Uri army camp attack has emerged in the form of a video and the video shows how India’s brave soldiers went into enemy territory in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and destroyed one of the terror launchpads. But the emergence of the video has triggered off a war or words between the BJP and the Congress.

While the BJP has dubbed the Army’s action as one of bravery and a matter of pride for the nation, the Congress has accused it of misusing the army to gain political mileage. The BJP however hit back and said while the nation feels pride over the surgical strike video. The Congress’s stand would be music to Pakistan’s ears and will also embolden terrorists.

The BJP also attacked Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his accusation related to the politicisation of the surgical strike.

It asked whether demoralising the army has become the Congress’s sole aim.

While Congress leaders are questioning the surgical strike the government has said that this is the language of separatists and the Congress should ask for the nation’s forgiveness.

Then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has also expressed surprise over the Congress’s perspective.

The surgical strike had been carried in response to the Uri army camp attack.

A day after the surgical strike then Director General of Military Operations Lt Gen Ranbir Singh had made the army’s action against terrorists public at a press conference.
